Petr Laštovka graduated from the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at the University of Economics, Prague, where he earned a degree in Accounting and Corporate Financial Management and later served as lecturer.
Petr started his career as auditor and tax advisor at TPA Horwath, and later became head of consulting, focusing mainly on investment banking. He has been published many times, and also lectures on securities, derivatives and investment banking for renowned institutions such as the University of Economics, Prague, General Financial Directorate, Chamber of Tax Advisers of the Czech Republic as well as private education agencies.
Making use of his many years of experience in corporate and investment analysis, in 2011 he founded EMUN PARTNERS family office, a.s, where he focuses on the management and structuring of family assets.
Vladimír Hoffmann, the Vice-chair of the Board of Directors and CIO of EMUN PARTNERS a.s., is a graduate of the University of Economics in Bratislava, with a degree in mathematical calculations in economics (Faculty of Management). After 1989, he took a number of courses on finance, including one held by the World Bank in Prague and an internship at London University and London School of Economics. He holds a broker license.
Vladimír has over 25 years of experience in the domain of capital markets, finance and investment. Throughout his career, he has occupied posts in the statutory bodies of many leading companies such as Delta Securities, Jihočeské papírny Větřní, Teplárna Trmice, Frigera Kolín and the Prague Stock Exchange.
In 2001, he started working with Proxy-Finance, a.s., in the area of investment consultancy, bank loan portfolio analysis and financing of receivables. In 2011, he became one of the founding partners of EMUN PARTNERS a.s., where he is in charge of investment strategy and private equity investment.
Vít Vařeka is a graduate of the University of Economics, Prague, and Frostburg State University, Maryland, USA, and has years of experience with collective investment, portfolio management and securities trading.
In 2006, he founded AMISTA, which during his eight years of leadership became the leading Czech investment company focusing on the management of experienced investor funds.
In 2018, Vít became one of the managing partners of EMUN PARTNERS family office, a.s. He is responsible for customer care and managing their family assets, specializing in qualified investor funds.
Michal Bečvář is a graduate of the Faculty of Engineering of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague (Trade and Business Dealing with Machinery).
In 2007, he joined AMISTA investiční společnost, a.s., a licensed investment company and the biggest provider of qualified investor fund services, where he held a wide range of posts and was a long-term member of the company’s main investment body. He also worked previously for Raiffesenbank, a.s.
Since 2018, he has been a member of the Board at EMUN PARTNERS investiční společnost, a.s., which focuses on administration of trusts.
Leoš Jirman graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University, Prague, and having passed the post-Master’s examenation, he dedicated several years to research.
He entered the capital market in 1992, when he joined Investiční a poštovní banka, a.s., as part of introducing a system for securities trading. Starting in 1994, he worked on-and-off in BH Securities, a.s., our sister company, as a Czech capital market analyst focusing namely on investment funds established during the voucher privatisation; later he shifted his focus to portfolio management, in particular to foreign stock and bond markets, and has a great deal of experience in derivatives trading. Between 2006 and 2010, Leoš worked as an analyst for the Czech National Bank.
Since EMUN PARTNERS family office, a.s. was established in 2011, he has been a member of its investment committee. In his capacity as portfolio manager at BH Securities, he especially manages the portfolios of the clients of EMUN PARTNERS.
At just nine years of age, Martin Vajda witnessed the 1989 Velvet Revolution, which – along with great sacrifices from his parents – made it possible for him to get an international education. After attending the English College in Prague, he graduated from the University of Exeter (Economics and Politics) and Université de Nancy II and obtained a MSc degree in Corporate Finance at SDA Bocconi in Milan. Later, he qualified as CAIA and CFA, and decided to put his expertise into evaluating private investment and securities at the stock exchange. However, the most valuable source of experience has always been his work for his father, Petr Vajda.
